Where it all Started…

How can I forget the day where it all started—probably the best day of my life. We had locked eyes a few times and flirted a little before, but this was the day it all came to fruition. It still feels like it happened yesterday.

She was wearing a pink shirt and blue denims. Before reaching the property, she needed to use the restroom, but there was nowhere to stop and we had both been drinking. Finally, after a while, she found a place. Once we arrived, feeling confident from her earlier hints, I put my hand on her shoulder. She immediately brushed it off, which shocked me at first, though she had her reasons.

Later, we went into the pool, and she was wearing stunning swimwear. We stayed in the water for nearly four hours alongside four other people. We shared so many glances and subtle touches. At times, it felt like she didn’t want me to drift away, pulling me closer and giving me another sign.

Eventually, we walked out to the car together to look for something. On the way back, we walked wrapped in each other’s arms—my hands around her waist, hers on my shoulders, without an inch of space between us. That moment solidified everything for me; there was clearly something real between us.

I followed her back to the room and stepped closer. I still remember her saying, “This is wrong, we are married,” and I agreed, admitting, “Yes, this is wrong.” But moments later, overwhelmed by emotion, I leaned in and we kissed. What an incredible feeling it was—straight out of a movie, like those unspoken cinematic romances where two people are drawn together by an undeniable pull. Even now, I’m astonished by how it unfolded. The kiss lasted only three or four seconds before she gently pushed me away, but inside, I was overflowing with joy. Nothing in the world could top that feeling.

That evening, she wore a leopard-print jacket with beige pants as we celebrated my birthday. We tried our best to act normal in front of everyone, but deep down, we both just wanted to be alone together. When night came, neither of us could sleep. I kept wanting to get up, go to her, and talk through everything that had happened.

She woke up early with her kids, hoping we might find a moment to talk. She was wearing a red co-ord set while getting her child ready. I walked up to her—I can’t recall my exact words, but I said something like, “We’ll talk about this later,” brushed her cheek, and told her she looked cute. Afterward, we had breakfast and drove back listening to music, wrapped in an ethereal feeling. It was truly the best day of my life, and I will cherish it forever.
